The Student Research Workshop will be held on December 15, 2023 (tentatively). It will be a forum for students pursuing bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degrees to showcase their research contributions in different topics relevant to the Areas of Interest of PReMI'23. The presenters will benefit from lively discussions and critical feedback from the experts on their work.
Eligibility:
The students pursuing bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degrees are encouraged to submit their abstracts to participate in the Student Research Workshop
Note: The submitted and presented work to this Workshop will not be published as a part of conference proceedings.
Submission Guidelines:
Submit a 2-page extended abstract in PDF (with filename Abstract_NAME.pdf) highlighting your doctoral research contributions so far. The extended abstract must be written following the standard 8.5’ × 11’ margin with font size no less than 11pt and it must contain the following fields in the given order.
Title, Name and Affiliation of the Candidate
Background and Motivation
Problem Statement/Research Gaps
Proposed Solutions/Plans (Preferably with a graphical overview)
Results/Significant Findings (If any)
Discussions and Future Works
Moreover, the following documents have to be submitted as part of the application:
A copy of the student identity card in PDF/JPG/PNG format (with name IDCard_ NAME.extension)
Course enrolment certificate in PDF/JPG/PNG format (with file name Enrolment_Certificate_NAME.extension)
Note: The ‘NAME’ mentioned in the aforementioned filenames should be full name of the submitting student.
Poster Presentations for Student Research Workshop:
The shortlisted candidates have to make posters of A0 (approximately, 2.7 feet by 3.9 feet) size in portrait mode.
All posters can be put up at the beginning of the day, on which your presentation is scheduled and removed at the end of the day.
All poster presenters should stand by their posters during the poster session to talk with attendees.
Kindly let us know a priori, if any poster presenter would also require a small table for demonstrating their work in addition to the poster stand.
Registration:
The shortlisted candidates do not need any registration to present their research work in the Workshop. However, if they want to attend ALL the sessions of the conference, they need to register as a "Student" and send the filled-in registration form by November 30, 2023. The registration form can be downloaded from the website of PReMI’23.
Note: If a student has accepted paper(s), already registered in her/his name or already completed registration for attending PReMI’23, then she/he does not need to register again. She/he may present her/his research work in the Workshop besides attending ALL other technical sessions of the conference.
Awards:
Two/three awards will be given based on the feedback from an expert committee on the extended abstracts and poster presentations during the Workshop. In addition, every presenter will be recognized with a certificate of participation.
