Research Interest
We are primarily interested in exploring the genetic and epigenetic basis of Human diseases. Presently the lab has focused on (1) Psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory skin disease, (2) Oral squamous cell carcinoma and (3) oral potentially malignant diseases. The current work is focused on the determination of genetic and epigenetic factors in psoriasis pathogenesis among the patients in India and determination of genetic and epigenetic biomarkers in oral pre-cancer and cancer patients in India.
