The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) is a full time residential program jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. With the first batch passing out in April'2017, the students learn statistics, computing and management from the three institutes. Students visit the three institutions where each focuses on a separate area of business analytics, in accordance with its expertise and competence. While ISI Kolkata imparts its statistical knowledge and machine learning theories and build the foundation of analytics,faculty at IIT Kharagpur engages with the technology aspects of analytics and IIM Calcutta focuses on the application of analytics in functional areas. Courses are be taught by reputed faculty members at the campuses of three globally renowned institutes with hands-on business analytics training at a related company and continuous interactions with industry leaders throughout the course of the diploma programme. The outcome is business analytics professionals employable by leading Indian and foreign firms. In addition, the students are be required to do an internship of six months duration on an analytics project in a business organization.
The premier batch of PGDBA will be undertaking internship from 1st Nov'16 till 30th April'17. The process for the same will be held at IIM Calcutta campus during the 4th week of August. Final placements will be held in 2nd week of January. The second batch of PGDBA will be present at ISI from Aug'16 till Nov'16 and will be available for industry interactions.
