Pelling
Pelling is a small place. To divide it into three parts: upper,
middle and lower definitely looks like an overkill. Indeed, if
you are pushed hard from Upper Pelling you are bound to topple
into Middle Pelling, and before you can arrest your fall the
roadside signboards will read "Lower Pelling".
It is very easy to draw a map of Pelling. You just draw a big
dot, and extend tentacles from it in all possible
directions. Well, it was at this dot that our car left us. We
alighted turned to our right and saw what you see in the picture
below.

You see Hotel Window Park in the photo. That's where we
stayed. It was off season. So we could easily find a double
bedded room for Rs 250. It did not have a television, but the
wide window provided a better alternative:

If you look carefully you'll see plenty of banana fronds near
the window. I have never seen so many banana trees in a hilly
region before. Unfortunately, there were not many bananas to be
found in the shops. Does the Kanchanjunga in the background make
it difficult for you enjoy the serene beauty of the
banana trees? Don't worry, here's a closer look at them, free of
Kanchanjunga and other disturbances:
