Professor Somnath Dasgupta, INSA Senior Scientist, Geological Studies Unit, ISI Kolkata, has been conferred with the prestigious Hari Narain Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Geophysical Union (IGU) in recognition of his outstanding contributions on the Development of genetic models of sulphide and oxide ore deposits and on ultrahigh temperature metamorphism.
