Narlikar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"zfr3Q CDt4Ke \" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"jgG6ef C9DxTc \">A one-day outreach event is being organised in memory of Prof. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar (1938\u20132025), the renowned astrophysicist known for his pioneering contributions to cosmology. He is remembered for the Hoyle\u2013Narlikar theory of gravity, significant work on quasi-steady state cosmology, and for his efforts in popularising science across India. The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) was established under his leadership, through which countless students and researchers have been inspired over the years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"zfr3Q CDt4Ke \" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"jgG6ef C9DxTc \">The event will consist of Popular-level Lectures by renowned Scientists and Science Communicators, Panel Discussion, Science Show\/Quiz, Library\/Museum visit as well as Poster Competition by the participants focusing on Astrophysics and Cosmology.
