Art of Illusion (AoI) is a 3D modelling software written in
Java by Peter Eastman. It is free and open source, and has an active
support from a small but dedicated community. It is much
easier to learn it than other standard 3D modellers (like Blender
or 3D Studio Max). Its capabilities are less than those
softwares, but good enough for 3D models useful for academic
purposes.
