Research Interests :
I consider myself an interdisciplinary scientist trained in an internationally diverse education system. I completed my doctoral studies in theoretical chemistry (mainly application of nonlinear dynamics on reaction-diffusion models, pattern formation, etc.), and then during my postdoc, I transitioned to a quantitative field: statistical ecology, and macroecology.
My current research interests are in the fields (but not limited to): Community ecology, Quantitative/ statistical ecology, Macroecology, and Theoretical ecology, focusing on using causal AI/XAI to understand mechanisms and predict change in natural patterns across scales.
!!! I am looking for motivated students to join my interdisciplinary group at ISI Kolkata: !!!
- Backgrounds Welcome: Statistics, data science, applied mathematics, physics, engineering, ecology — or anyone with a Master's degree eager to apply quantitative skills to ecology, forecasting, and biodiversity research.
